I began in the industry in 1993 on the title and closing side of the real estate business. Working throughout many areas of this specific industry, I gained invaluable knowledge of one of the most important pieces of the home-buying or home-selling process. For just under seven years I learned about the closing process as a mortgage and real estate closer, was educated on title insurance and what circumstances can arise during a transaction, was educated on the abstracting and examination processes and about what it takes to close a transaction successfully from purchase agreement right through to the recording of the transfer documents after the closing. The knowledge gained during this time has been a tremendous asset to me, and is sure to benefit you. 

I began my sales career following a realization that I was educating home buyers more at the closing table as their closer, than anyone else was. I thought they deserved better, and off to school I went. I began my career in real estate sales with Edina Realty and have worked full-time selling and managing with a couple different companies ever since. After a couple years in the business I achieved my Minnesota Broker's License and ran my own company for several years. Now back with Edina Realty I can appreciate the wonderful technology, consumer focus and many other tools that make Edina the leader for success in the market that we are in currently.

During my time in the industry I have strived to always improve my skills and knowledge in the industry. Continuing education is paramount to stay on top of the trends and swells in the market. I currently hold the designations of the Graduate Realtor® Institute, Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified Residential Specialist, and Certified New Home Specialist.

In 2009 I served as a Director on the Board of Directors for the South Twin Cities Association of Realtors®, and starting in 2010 I will serve on the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul Area Association of Realtors® through 2013. These organizations are vital to our industry and I am proud to be able to serve on several committees and be a part of bettering our industry.
